for many years, i have posted exhortations and reminders as to what our lord said about those "in union" with him and what it takes to be in such union.

I don’t come here much anymore but am glad I came this morning. I’m doing a study on who Jesus truly is, the Mediator, the New Covenant, the Memorial etc and couldn’t remember where the following verse was. You posted it so I thank you.

"SHUT UP THE KINGDOM OF THE HEAVENS BEFORE MEN."

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. Matthew 23:13

I plan to go to the Memorial. Having never been a witness I feel I need to experience it for myself; not hearing or reading it from someone else. Thankfully a friend, a former witness, is coming with me. It will be very difficult to watch people reject Christ. If God leads me I will ask why. Otherwise I’ll just observe. I won’t partake. I agree with Wobble on this. It’s a sham and I won’t participate in a sham. We will be celebrating communion at our church on Good Friday. In case someone still believes that it can only be observed once a year, the following verse:

"This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 1 Cor 11:25-26

The more I study the real truth of Jesus vs what the Watchtower teaches the more saddened I am. The "Great Crowd" of the Watchtower are a people on the outside looking in, just like the Gentiles before they were grafted in. According to the Watchtower they don’t have Jesus as their Mediator, they aren’t in the New Covenant, they are not children of God, they are not brothers of Christ. I can go on and on. They are cheated of their inheritance.

I am thankful to God for answered prayer. My mom is no longer a witness after 37 years. I have never seen her as happy as she is now. She took communion for the first time in her life last year.

Am I the only one who felt sorry for adam and eve?

the witnesses always blame everything on adam and eve (besides satan).

for some reason, when i used to look at the my book and bible stories when i was little, i used to feel bad for adam and eve?

its kinda like getting mad at a baby for making a mistake.

I was never angry with them. If not them, it would have been someone else down the road.

I'm not totally convinced though that Adam & Eve were one man and one woman. Isn't it possible that people already existed? They might have been the first people to have a conscience, not reacting instinctively, but think about things, knowing right from wrong.

When my mom was still a witness I remember telling her that I would love to meet Adam & Eve. She told me that they wouldn't be resurrected. I don't believe that.

Watchtower 2001 7/1 pg 9 Adam and Eve grew old and eventually died with no hope of a resurrection.

The first animal sacrifice is mentioned at Genesis 3:21.

whereami: you say these videos have been debunked so many times. Can you be more specific? Where are these men wrong?

What's interesting to me in the second video is that scientists are looking for intelligence in space. I'm sure many are atheists. If they find an information bearing signal it would confirm the existance of intelligent life beyond earth. Interesting. If they find an information bearing signal it must be from an intelligent source. Yet atheist take the "leap of faith" that the universe was not created by intelligent design. Couldn't an atheists conclusion be that if they find an information bearing signal that it is just random. Why believe intelligent design in the one case and not the other.

i'd like to hear how soon you went back to meetings, how many letters requesting reinstatement you wrote, how you were treated, and how long it took you to get bitter and jaded.... or in the off chance you had a positive experience, what exactly happened.. really struggling here... thanks!.

How dare men tell you when you're forgiven. Sounds much like Catholicism.

The quickest re-instatement. If you are truly remorseful, ask God to forgive your sins. He will re-instate you right away.
